Individual Therapy for Children and Adolescents
Therapy sessions give you the opportunity to confidentially talk through problems or situations with a therapist. It does not necessarily make problems disappear, but it equips you with the tools needed to cope with them more appropriately.
Children and adolescents face an ever more complex and stressful world. They are often faced with maturing at a younger age which can cause confusion, anxiety, and depression. In an effort to cope with these struggles they often need assistance in meeting the many developmental milestones they need to meet. I am committed to assisting them with therapeutic interventions and strategies to successfully navigate these developmental issues.
Individual Therapy for Adults
Conditions such as depression, anxiety; obsessive-compulsive disorders, as well as stressors such as marital conflict/divorce, life transitions, and career challenges can be debilitating and painful. Through a range of personalized, evidence based interventions, we strive to help adults identify and overcome the barriers to happiness and success in both their personal and professional lives. It is our aim to help them obtain a better grasp of their goals and achieve psychological well-being.
Social Skills Groups for Children Diagnosed with ASD
Social skills are a significant area of weakness for children and adolescents with ASD. Children and adolescents with ASD very much desire social interaction, but they struggle with the needed skills. This group develops 10 social skills in children and 13 social skills in adolescents. The 10 social skills for children consist of: greeting and getting to know, identifying emotions, identifying facial expressions, continuum of emotions, tone of voice, initiating conversations, basic conversation skills, responding to the emotions of others, phone skills, and manners and dining out. The 13 social skills for adolescents include all of the social skills for the children’s group plus hanging out, school functions, and interviewing skills. Groups consist of 4-6 children or adolescents. One social skill is taught per week. After each session parents/guardians are provided with two handouts: What did we do during group today ?and What to work on at home. There are also two handouts that can be shared with your child/adolescents school What we did during group this week? and What to work on at school?. These sheets provide an opportunity for your child/adolescent to generalize the skills he/she learned in their weekly group session.

Divorce Mediation
Divorcing couples are increasingly turning to mediation as a way to bring down the cost and conflict involved in ending a marriage. In divorce mediation, a trained, neutral professional meets with the couple in an informal setting (either in person or remotely) to guide them through the process of exploring solutions, negotiating, and reaching an agreement on the important issues in their divorce.
