BACKGROUND

I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University Psy.D. Program in School Psychology and completed my post-doctoral hours in Roseland, NJ at Applied Behavioral Health private practice . In addition, I received training at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, School of Social Work – Institute for Families – as an Expert Witness in child custody. I also worked with the Bergen County Court System providing custody/parenting time evaluations. I taught Orientation to Psychological Testing and Developmental Psychology at the graduate level. I worked as a school psychologist and as Director of Special Services. As a school psychologist. I assessed students  for learning disabilities and other disabilities that impacted their learning. As Director of Special Services, I supervised school psychologists, learning disabilities teacher consultants, and social workers, providing guidance in special education law and learning strategies.  I have worked in private practice providing children, adolescents and adults with psychological care. In my practice, I apply a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy through a six module approach. These modules consist of: setting goals, identifying thought patterns, breaking negative thought patterns, time management, coping with fears and concerns, and longevity in change. My unique background as an educator and a therapist provides me with a deep understanding of the struggles that many children, adolescents  and adults experience in life and in the classroom.
